    I am working as a Executive in an apartment in JB. I have been told by a owner that there is water leak form the ceiling of his master bedroom.
    He wants me to produce the act confirming who is responsible for the repair cost. He is on the 5th floor and the leak is due to a faulty piping from the fllor above. What shall i do?

    I just recently sold my condo and paid my maintenance in advance up to June 2011. When my lawyer requested for a copy of the quit rent to the property, we were notified that the JMB is charging us a fee of RM500 to administer and provide relevant information to the Vendors/Purchasers, including their solicitors as regards to Sub-Sales and their disbursement charges. The JMB quoted that by virtue of the Housing Development Control and licensing Act & regulations [consent to assignment/sub-sale], they are charging this RM500.

    I had thought that the provision of the information was to be provided by the Developer and not the JMB.

    Upon speaking to the ppl at the JMB and their lawyers, they seems to say that we can choose not to pay but qualified it by saying that if we do not pay then they are not obliged to reply to any of our letters or our solicitors’ letters!!

    Looking back Developer’s initial letter of confirmation, there was a clause to say that we have to obtain a clearance letter from the JMB for them to notify the change in ownership. Therefore, it seems that if we do not pay then we won’t get our letter of clearance.

    Does anybody out there face this same problem? Are the JMB even allowed to charge this to the owners, presumably under an act that governs the Developer and not them?

    Dear Sir/Madam,

    I am having an issue with a newly formed JMB; which seems like they are changing their billing amount. With the same invoice number, the amount can be different, in 2 month’s of billing statements. Under the JMB act, can they do that? I confronted them, but no action has been taken.

    Also, they are so efficient that for them to change my mailing address (thru countless email and telephone call), it took them 9 months (and still got it wrong). In this 9 months alone, they are billing me late payment charges.

    What can I do? I am selling the unit and is forced to pay them, even with their bad service. Is there any complain center that I can lodge an official complaint?

    Anyone can help???

  5. I was wondering if you ever considered changing the layout of your website?

    Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better.
    Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or 2 pictures.

    Maybe you could space it out better?

  6. I think that what you published was actually very logical.
    However, what about this? what if you added a little information? I
    am not suggesting your content is not solid., however what if you added something that grabbed folk’s attention? I mean About | Joint Management Body is a little boring.
    You could look at Yahoo’s home page and note how they create news titles to grab people to click.
    You might try adding a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about everything’ve written. In my opinion, it could bring your posts
    a little livelier.
